Introduction: I have been teaching for over twenty years. I help students to improve their scores and reduce test anxiety by instilling confidence as they learn the strategies and skills they need to be successful. I love meeting new students every year and helping them reach their goals. When students are accepted at their college if choice - that is the best!

Highest recommendation! Sarah has worked with two of my boys on ACT/SAT prep and they both benefited greatly. She helped them build skills and confidence, which resulted in improved scores. Sarah is smart, creative, positive and very experienced; we also appreciated her willingness to work around busy schedules.

I highly recommend Sarah for ACT tutoring. She worked with my daughter on the ACT and helped her raise her score from a 31 to a 34. Even more amazing, is that my daughter's weakest subject used to be English, and Sarah helped her master the subject, which helped my daughter earn a 35 in the English section. Sarah is extremely knowledgeable and has a great approach to working with kids.

FAQs

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I worked first as a high school English teacher in a charter school in Chicago. We worked there to help students increase their scores. After my daughter was born, I decided to work from home and trained with a private tutoring company to improve my knowledge teaching of the test. After that, I worked with an amazing mentor, who had been working with the ACT for sixteen years. I have combined the experience from these three different endeavors to create a program for each student that works for his or her individual needs!

  • Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

My student was accepted to Northwestern University, her dream school. I had worked with her to improve her test scores and to write an amazing college essay that truly reflected who she was. It's always the best to receive those calls, texts, and emails that students have accomplished their goals with my help!
