Introduction: I am a renowned Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA; KPA CTP) and Ferret Rescuer born and raised in San Diego, California. I have more than 20 years of experience tucked away in her treat bag. With a background in Science (Associates Degree in Animal Health, Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from SDSU, and multiple dog training certifications), I approach training challenges with an analytic, observant eye and spot on instincts to read the emotions between pet and human.
I have owned, trained, cared, rehabilitated and raised dogs, cats, ferrets, pet birds and parrots, horses, livestock (cows, pigs, chickens, ducks), wild life (local birds, raccoons, squirrels, river otters, skunks), wolf and coyote hybrids.
Seeing an unruly, terror of a dog start my obedience training class and in 5 weeks, not being able to recognize the perfectly sitting dog, while the proud owner smiles on. There are many times I have heard "If your training did not work, I was going to have to get rid of/put down my dog." While I am elated that the training saved another dog from the pound or worse, it saddens me that it had gotten to that point.
