FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
When I give an estimate I always need to assess my what my operating costs are, the complexity of the project, taxes (a minimum of 15% of what I charge goes toward taxes!) and how much time it will take. I offer to pick up and/or purchase materials for costumers at no additional cost. I also offer a 10% discount on materials I purchase at Home Depot or Lowes.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I’ll like to discuss the project in person at the clients home so I can get a good idea of what the project is and provide a accurate estimate. If needed, I’ll go through material options and possible alternatives to achieve what they would like done. Only after they feel comfortable with everything we discussed would I encourage them to move forward if the price and time line is agreeable.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My education has mostly been on the job training and my own research in materials and techniques.
