FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated from New England Conservatory of Music with a violin performance degree in 1999, then went on to get my Master of Music degree from Northern Illinois University in 2003. I have had master classes with the Concert Master of the Chicago Symphony, Montreal Symphony, Boston Symphony, to name just a few. I am currently associate concertmaster of the South Bend Symphony Orchestra, I am a substitute violinist with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and have played with the Lyric Opera Orchestra as well. I play all over Chicago and Indiana.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have been playing the violin since I was 2 and a half years old so it was always part of my life. If I wasn't playing the violin or teaching I would feel like I was missing my right arm. Playing the violin and teaching is my passion. I love when a child enjoys it as much as I do. I think everyone should learn a musical instrument.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Vintage violins mainly rents, repairs and sells high quality stringed instruments to school districts in the area as well as private schools. We also have private violin, viola, and cello lessons for $30.00 for 30min. We are family owned so we work with our customers to make this process easier.
