- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our pricing is not that complicated. We offer 2 flat hourly rates. For all onsite residential work, our hourly rate is $75/hr. If we have to take your system back to our office, the rate is only $60/hr. Our travel rate is a flat $20/hr if you live outside of the Park Ridge, Niles, or Des Plaines areas.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a strong personal feeling that education and betterment is a big part of keeping up to date in the computer support field. Personally, I try to shoot for attaining one new certification per year, and also push my staff to do the same. My company reimburses its workers for educational certifications, as I fully believe this allows them to become better technicians who can provide top notch service - above and beyond what the big box retailers offer.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've had a strong interest in technology and working with people since I was young. I had my first computer by second grade, and helped start the first computer club at the high school I attended (which I later worked for over a timespan of roughly 4 years, handling technology support, no less). After college I founded FireLogic to help provide a quality local service to the Park Ridge area community, seeing that competition was restricted to a few sub-part companies and the usual big box stores. My motivation has always been to help others with their technology, and I'm doing just that!
