Introduction: My name is Natasha Bassett. I live in a small town just south of Springfield, IL with my husband, my two step-children, and our zoo of 9 pets (2 black labs, 5 cats ‐ 4 of which are black, and 2 turtles). We are a major Disney family, but we also enjoy traveling to cabins around the midwest bringing our ornery Labradors with us. I'm typically the planner of our trips and find myself the go-to person of my friends and family for Disney vacations.
I have wanted to be a travel agent for many years. Traveling has been in my veins since I was a teenager. My first trip without my parents was with my Girl Scout Council to Washington DC for Bill Clinton's first inauguration. I caught the travel bug and quickly applied to the Europe trip through my Council. I spent quite a bit of time at 13/14 years old learning how to navigate public transportation, rail travel, and how to get from point A to point B safely. At age 15, eighteen girls and four adults embarked on a journey through Europe that would forever change my life and open my eyes to a completely different world than what I read about in books. I have been traveling anywhere and everywhere since.
My goal is to help others have those same moments I had when I was younger. So no matter if you are traveling in your state, across the country, or across the globe, I want to help you reach those destinations and have an amazing experience. Thus.... Fairy Dogmother Travel was born...
