- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Continuing Professional Education (CPE) is required and reported for all certifications listed.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I spent years in business production, budgeting and cost analysis and over time realized I needed more understanding of accounting principles and finance. I took a few accounting courses on-line, working with Louisiana State University on the advise of a CPA associate and professor. One thing led to another until I found myself in the Master's program for Accountancy at Western Carolina University and from there I was able to sit for the CPA exam. A few years later I was able to receive a Certified Managerial Accountant certification. The opportunity to work with others in this field is very rewarding.
