FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
At Parks Plumbing & Sewer, we believe in clear and honest pricing. For smaller service calls, we charge a $79 service fee, which covers the time for one of our licensed technicians to come out, diagnose the issue, and explain the best solution. For larger projects such as sewer repairs, flood control installations, and drainage work, we provide free estimates so homeowners understand the scope of the job before work begins. We also currently offer several coupons and savings opportunities for our customers: • $100 Referral Reward if you refer a friend for a flood control system featuring our DOUBLE GUARD Flood Control System • $100 Off a new flood control installation • $50 Off battery backup systems • $50 Off yard drainage solutions • $25 Off any indoor plumbing work Just mention our coupons when speaking with our office to take advantage of these offers. With over 45 years of experience serving Chicago and the surrounding suburbs, our goal is to provide reliable, long-term solutions, especially for sewer and flooding problems common in older Chicago homes.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
At Parks Plumbing & Sewer, we believe great service starts with real people—not robots. When you contact us, you’ll speak with a member of our fully staffed office team, not an automated system. Our staff will take the time to understand the problem you're experiencing and schedule the right technician or estimator for your situation. For larger projects like sewer repairs, flood control systems, or drainage work, we begin with a thorough inspection of the issue. One of our experienced team members will assess the situation, explain what’s happening, and walk you through the best options for solving the problem. Once work is scheduled, you'll have a dedicated project manager who ensures the job runs smoothly from start to finish. We pride ourselves on clear communication throughout the process so you always know what’s happening with your project. Because we are a family-run company, leadership is often involved directly. It’s very common for customers to meet members of our leadership team—COO Matt Parks or VP Keith Parks—who frequently visit jobs and stay involved to ensure everything is done properly. Our goal is simple: solve your plumbing or sewer problem as seamlessly and professionally as possible, while treating your home with the same care we would our own.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Parks Plumbing & Sewer is built on a team of highly trained, licensed professionals. Our staff includes Master Plumbers, licensed electricians, and experienced sewer specialists, all with extensive hands-on training in plumbing, sewer systems, and flood control solutions. Our team stays fully up to date with industry standards, safety requirements, and local regulations throughout Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. We maintain excellent standing with all required licensing boards and professional associations, ensuring that every project meets the highest professional and code standards. Because plumbing and sewer systems in the Chicago area can be complex—especially in older homes—our technicians are trained not only in repairs but also in advanced diagnostics, sewer camera inspections, flood control systems, and major sewer repair solutions. With over 45 years of experience, our team combines professional licensing, ongoing training, and real-world expertise to deliver reliable solutions homeowners can trust.
