FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I would not say I have a "complicated" pricing system. I do however offer different packages with different sized systems. I do this to be able to offer you the best experience at your event. I also want you to have a choice in what your music sounds like and what your dance floor looks like.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Look for someone with Experience, Experience and More Experience. All DJ's got their start somewhere. It was usually along side someone who had experience. Make sure the professional DJ you are hiring is not someone who just went out and bought some DJ equipment and a computer and now calls themself a DJ. The art of being a Wedding DJ is passed down from one DJ to another. All of us that have been around for 10 years or more could probably tell you who took us under their wing and taught us the craft. Those of us who have been doing it this long also know its a craft, we love to create a great wedding reception. So make sure you are not booking some fly by night "dj".
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
I wish customers understood that we put in way more time than just the hours we are at your event. We spend a lot of time preparing for your event. Usually weeks before we arrive at your event. I also wish people understood that when it comes to booking a DJ you trully get what you pay for. It always amazes me when someone calls around to get prices and goes with the cheapest guy they could find. There is a reason he is DJing for half or less of the price of every other DJ in town. It is because that is the only way that he can get business. So please do NOT shop DJ's on price alone. Take time to find the guy who is going to work hard to make sure your event is perfect (like me!). Then you will be able to see and understand what you are paying for.
