- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I’m currently doing 10% off for first time customers. I do charge a paint change fee if the client changes paint color in the middle of a job and a furniture moving fee.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Have a meeting where I take a look at the area that needs painting. I get the measurements of everything. Then we can discuss budget of customer. A lot of times you can save money with minor tweaks ie. full wall repair, furniture being moved, same color trim as walls. Little things can adjust the price. Lastly, if we agree on everything, we discuss availability and get a time frame going to comfortably complete the work.
