I hired Katherine as a surprise birthday gift for my wife. This is what my wife had to say after the experience: I received 3 hours of shopping with Kathrine for my 40th birthday. My clothes for work badly needed an update. She consulted with me over the phone, and then we met a week later to shop. She knew exactly what I needed to add to my wardrobe to give it the update it needs. I was instantly comfortable as she is friendly and outgoing. She found sales so I could stay within my budget, and showed me items to buy in the future. I left with many items I would have never noticed in a store. I've received compliments all week at work. Kathrine was outstanding from the very beginning. Quote was personalized, prompt, clear and concise. Her services included a 30 min phone consultation and 5 hours (she noted that they could be used in anyway but suggested a 3-hour closet audit and 2-hours shopping.) This breakdown was perfect! The consultation was great, she asks great questions to get to know you as a person and what your goal is and in turn you get to know her as well. She is extremely friendly and made me feel very comfortable from the first phone call. During the closet she takes notes and teaches you along the way. What does and doesn't work and most importantly the WHY. This to me was invaluable as it gives you the tools you need so you can be confident in your shopping. During the shopping adventure (and it is an adventure) she is focused on a list of items that you may need to enhance your wardrobe. 2 hours doesn't seem like a lot, but when it is focused shopping, it IS enough time. Two people looking for specific items and it is about you. What do you like? What catches your eye? Before the shopping trip, she asks you about what your budget is and is excellent at keeping you within that budget. In between each of the sessions, Kathrine and I were sending emails back and forth too. She sends links to things she thinks I would like, I send links and asked a ton of questions. Your purchasing 5 hours of face to face time, but you are getting so much more. Even with the service being "complete" she is still around and available for assistance which is absolutely great! You have your own stylist at your fingertips which is something I thought celebrities had, but I have one now too and have found a friend in the process as well! Kathrine comes highly recommended!!!

Kathrine was simply amazing and exactly what I needed. (Yes, this is going to be a long review, but I can't help it!) I reached out to her as I realized I just wasn't confident about the message I was conveying to the world through my clothing. Having lived overseas for a bit and worked in non-profit, I realized my sense of self had changed a lot and my wardrobe had not been keeping up. Once I contacted Kathrine, she was immediately responsive, and she provided a great free consultation to talk about my needs and her services. This laid the groundwork for our "closet audit," for which we both were able to prepare and have clear expectations. She came to my home and sat on a chair in my room as I tried on everything. She provided kind, but firm feedback, guidance, and new ideas. She complimented me where appropriate and helped me make sense of what I could do with what I had. I had been concerned that the day would end with a huge pile for donation and a big shopping list that didn't suit my personality or needs, but I only put about 10 things in the donate pile and she suggested about 10-12 items that we both agreed would be great to have (all totally normal items that are versatile and classic). She was able to see some themes in my personal style and re-style some things I had and loved, but couldn't figure out how to wear. Following the visit, she sent an email that summarized everything--so professional, practical, and tailored to me! In this email she sent me 15+ photos of me in the outfits she put together. She brought back to life a bunch of stuff I wasn't wearing, which was worth her fee alone. Add in all the great ideas, guidance, and follow up-email (which will keep me from buying stuff that I won't wear or feel great in), it was an amazing value. I'm so excited to call her in the fall for a brief follow-up help me get my cold weather style together. Highly recommend her and her services!

I had a closet audit by Katherine and it was a great experience! She came over and went through my clothes and edited based on my current style and how I wanted it to evolve. She helped me get rid of some things that were way past their prime. She also idenfied gaps in my wardrobe and sent suggestions. I would highly recommend working with Katherine. My wardrobe definitely needed an update for both style and function. My closet was full of clothes that once I thought were great, but now were very dated. Kathrine helped me go through my entire closet in 3 hours and identified what could still could work and the pieces that should go if I was ready. And, yes, I was ready. Also for me, sizing was an issue that needed to be addressed and Kathrine did that with true skill. Another 2 hours were spent shopping together. Again, it was a great experience. Actually fun! What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The process starts with a free 30-minute phone consult. After I have learned what the client's needs are, we move on to the closet audit. The closet audit usually lasts about 3 hours. During our session, I assess all aspects of the client's wardrobe through them trying on almost every thing they own. We makes piles of what to keep, what to toss, what to donate, what to tailor, etc. I give styling tips and take pics of looks that I have put together during the session. A couple of days later, I send a follow-up email detailing the styling advice I gave as well as offer links to items that would work well with what they already have. A personal shopping trip is soon after which usually is 2-3 hours.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I assist clients in editing their closets and help them find new ways to use the clothes they already have. I also identify what basic wardrobe items they are missing which I can then help them shop for if needed. Another service I offer is special event styling. I can scour the internet and local shops to find the perfect outfit for your next special event (wedding, gala, prom, etc.).
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Find someone that gets to know your lifestyle and listens to what your needs are. A stylist who listens to their clients intently will find options that work well for you and make you happy. Find a stylist that will push your comfort zone as well (at least a little bit). They probably have a lot of ideas that you haven't thought of that will help bring a fresh look to your wardrobe.
