Vandi is very warm and personable. She takes the time to get to know each student. That’s really evident. She makes you feel safe to explore and learn. I have some insecurities, and Vandi always helps me see the value in myself and my voice. Our lessons are FUN! And I definitely can see improvement over time. I feel much stronger vocally and as a performer. I really look forward to our lessons each week. Vandi is a great teacher. She really goes above and beyond for her students. She really cares. And she’s good at what she does. She loves learning herself and is always studying and learning new techniques to use with us in the studio. It’s really cool how excited she gets about learning and teaching. She’s an amazing singer herself. I’m so happy to have found her!Aug 9, 2020Vandi’s Voice Studio's reply
Thanks Lanie! What a sweet message! I enjoy working with you! 😊
Vandi is an excellent teacher!! She gives great tips and is very knowledgeable in breath support, vowels and the shaping of sound, and the emotion the artist is supposed to convey. She uses her experience working in theatre, musical theatre, opera, and stage combat to help her students feel more confident and comfortable in their craft. Her voice is very calming and she is one of the sweetest humans on the planet. 10/10 would recommend her to anyone!Aug 11, 2020Vandi’s Voice Studio's reply

Thank you Cab! Great working with you on Piano! Keep practicing!
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I sometimes do promotions. I have a great referral policy! Students could potentially have indefinite lessons for free with referrals! Typically students take consistent lessons and pay for the full month the first week of the month.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I usually set up a time to chat about the new student’s goals and experience. The first lesson usually is a bit different as we are getting to know each other, I get to know the student’s learning style and their vocal instrument, and we work through some basic healthy vocal techniques as I assess their strengths and weaknesses. This helps me come up with the best approach for the student. I do my best to tailor lessons to the individual student.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have a BFA in musical theatre with piano and theatre minors, an MM in Vocal performance with a focus in opera and vocal pedagogy, a certification from Shenandoah University in Vocal Pedagogy for Contemporary Commercial Styles, and extensive continuing education in the field.
