Our initial agent was professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and available from the initial visit until the movers came. The movers were thorough, attended to detail, packed the items carefully, kept us informed throughout the move, helped unpacking into a storage unit, and were enjoyable to get to know. We would use Public Moving and Storage again easily!
Loved this company! They were very kind, helpful, and accommodating. On the day of the move the movers were prompt, quick, and easy to work with. All in all great price and service! Would definitely recommend to friends and family!
When I had to move cross country from Florida to Colorado, I was prepared for the worst. After my experience with first National, I can say I've had a complete change of heart about the moving experience. The movers were courteous, quick and efficient. They were incredibly careful when moving our furniture and even skipped lunch to get us out in time. First National showed me that no experience is always bad, it just depends on who you choose to take with you. If I ever have to move again, you can bet I'm going to call First National for their amazing expertise.
Mark, Sam, and Dakota moved my family on November 7th, 2015. They moved not only a house full of large furniture and fragile things, they also moved over 100 from an offsite storage space. They handled our treasured possessions with the utmost care. They were polite, personable, and kind. Not one piece of furniture was ruined and not one box was ripped or caved in. When they first came to the house, I was very nervous and told them so. Mark stated that they were the best movers in the area and after this move, I completely agree.
I hired Bob (not Roger; Roger is Bob's cousin who handles the Thumbtack account) to move about 70% of the stuff out of a 1,500ish sq. ft. house and into a similar-size house; my husband and I did the rest. I sent Roger a list of the largest items to put on the truck, and he estimated that the move would take 3-4 hours. Overall, I'm pleased with Bob's Movers -- thus the four-star rating. I elaborate below on the pros and cons of the service. I know that reviews can make or break a company, so take my cons with a grain of salt. They might not apply to you or affect you. That said, let's start with the pros: 1. Reasonable price: I'm not sure whether the price varies by the size of the job, the estimated amount of time, the number of guys on the job, etc., but I was quoted $60/hour for three guys and a truck. I was told that there was no minimum cost, so if the move took only three hours, I'd pay for only three hours, not four. 2. Excellent communication: Roger responded quickly to my messages on Thumbtack, and Bob responded quickly to my texts and phone calls. 3. Timeliness: The guys showed up 15-20 minutes early. Fine by me! 4. Care: The crew tried mighty hard not to damage any of our stuff. They packed the truck tightly so that nothing would shift. 5. Friendliness: All three guys were nice. Even though at times they were carrying some really heavy stuff, they stayed in good spirits. So here are the cons: 1. Truck size: At about 14', the truck wasn't large enough to move a small houseful of stuff, so two trips were necessary, extending the moving time to 6ish hours. 2. Smoke! At least one of the men smoked, even inside the back of the truck. I don't know whether the moving blankets were smoky too, but our upholstered items smell smoky now. A few weeks' time and periodic Febrezing should fix the couch and most other items, but the smell is pretty deeply embedded in one mattress and box spring in particular (they were at the back of the truck, right up against the cab), so those might take a month or two to air out. 3. Bumps and bruises: I asked Bob whether he offers insurance, like the big moving companies do, and what sort of policy he has regarding damage. He said that nothing would be damaged, because he and his guys are careful and "do it right," but if something were to be damaged, he'd pay for it on the spot. I expect minor wear and tear from a move, and very minor wear and tear is what I got: a scuffed couch leg (normally I cover the legs for a move, but I forgot to this time) and a dented dresser drawer edge. Am I bummed? Yeah. Did I complain to Bob? Nope. These little things are just the hazards of moving. And frankly, it's miraculous that these were the only physical damages. 4. Not quite three men: Two of the guys busted their butts for us the entire time. The third man directed the others, telling them what to do and where to put things. He also helped maneuver some of the oversized items out of one house and into the other, and he disassembled and reassembled a bed. In essence, we had the man-power of somewhere between two and three men.
Our small family moved from a small 2-BR ranch to a larger 3-BR two story/basement on the west side of Indianapolis. Our contract had three movers for four hours plus paying for extra time after that. Only two movers showed up, but they did an excellent job. We were nervous about dings and scratches but there were zero issues. They wrapped and secured everything professionally and were very pleasant to work with. We would use them again.
The movers from Pick Up Movers were such an enthusiastic bunch. I didn’t even need to instruct them. They were so keen on their jobs. Every item got the same treatment from them- wrap, box, and load! They were very clean too- not leaving behind a mountain of unused packing materials. Their work ethic really surprises me. In the end, all my things were safely transported and I couldn’t find a reason to have any dissatisfaction.
Lionel and Corbin arrived at my home with a can do attitude. They were professional and friendly. I needed a 300lb. treadmill moved down to my basement. They made a difficult job look easy. I have dealt with movers many times as a military spouse and I highly recommend them. Thank you so much All The Kings Men Moving Experts!
There is so much I can say about this company, so I will start off with "Thank you for making my BIG move even possible!" Working with Krystal and the moving crew was such a delightful experience! If I had a question, it was answered almost immediately, and no hidden "extra" costs that I have found in the past other moving companies! All my items were so carefully wrapped and packed, I was extremely impressed that nothing was broke, or misplaced, or any other thing that can go wrong when taking a chance on a moving company! And during the actual move, all my items where in order and best of all on time! With such a busy life schedule, kids, job... this was the best and most smart move on my part! And if I ever move again I will be calling this company! I would definitely rate this company with a 5 thumbs up! Thank you to all the crew members and especially Krystal for making my move possible! I couldn't have done it with out you... Thanks again!
