The 250th Marine Birthday Ball is a very special event to the Marines in Evansville. When I started looking for a photographer to shoot the Ball, I was some what apprehensive when looking at Long Shots Imaging's website. Randy was obviously a great sports photographer but could he handle an event like the Ball? In a word - absolutely. Our Ball committee met with Randy and were impressed with his professionalism. He showed us some of his work, we agreed on a price and he said he wanted to come to our pre-event practice to get a 'feel' for the event. He came at 0900 the morning of the Ball and stayed during the entire practice. He returned half an hour before the event started to scope out the places he wanted to be during each stage of the program. He had an uncanny knack of being at exactly the right spot for each important phase of the ceremony. After the event, I was telling Randy how pleased we were and asking about next year. He was already telling me what he planned to do better next year. I could go on and on about his work but the best thing I can tell you is - don't plan on hiring Long Shots Imaging on November 7th, 2026. He is already obligated to shoot the 251st Marine Birthday Ball in Evansville. I have included some of my favorite shots from the Ball.
