FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing depends on the issue and any parts required. Most repairs start with a diagnostic evaluation to determine the exact cause of the problem. Once I identify the issue, I provide a clear repair quote before any work is performed. Common services include Windows repairs, SSD upgrades, hardware replacement, and performance optimization. Many customers drop off their computers for diagnostics, so the system can be properly tested and repaired. I focus on honest recommendations and will always explain the best options before proceeding.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When a customer contacts me, I start by asking a few questions about the computer and the issue they’re experiencing to understand the problem. In many cases, customers drop off their computer for diagnostics so I can properly test the system and determine the root cause. At drop-off, customers complete a repair authorization and device intake form that documents the system, confirms ownership, and authorizes diagnostic work. This helps ensure everything is clearly documented and protects both the customer and the technician. Once I diagnose the issue, I provide a clear repair quote and explain the available options before performing any work. After approval, I complete the repair and thoroughly test the system to ensure everything is working properly before returning the computer.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor of Science in Computer and Information Science – Cyber and Information Security Technology with a Minor in Cybersecurity, from ECPI University, graduating Summa Cum Laude. I also hold a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Southern New Hampshire University. In addition to formal education and my full-time job as a professional IT Technician, I have extensive hands-on experience troubleshooting Windows systems, diagnosing hardware issues, and improving computer performance.
