- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
The process of working with a designer should be fun - exciting, in fact. Hiring a registered designer, depending on your specific needs, will help ensure the safety and health of your environment. Look for credentials from the National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) for confidence that your designer has not only been educated and has experience in the fundamental principles of design, but also in ethics, building construction, and furniture, materials, and finish specifications. Make sure you trust your designer and feel confident that they 'get' your vision and are not just trying to push theirs on you. You're the one who will be interacting with the space every day. Make sure that in the end it reflects your goals. Pick someone you like. You'll be spending a lot of time with them.
