FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge by room size and work load. First time cleanings are always a little more because there is much to do to get started. Return visits, especially on a regular schedule (ie; weekly, bi-weekly, monthly) are rated based upon size, time, and work load. First time meetings shall include a walk-thru and bid and then scheduling.(Sometimes same day bid & clean are arranged)
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
References are a plus, they don't have to be spectacular references or even that current, just as long as they can vouch for personal professionalism, trust, and a job satisfaction. When willing to let anyone into your home, a personal "gut" feeling of well being should be achieved, if you feel uncomfortable in any way, reconsider. Maybe you can arrange for a supervised session. (Most cleaning services provide services while the home owner is away, this makes for less distraction and quicker time)
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
There is a difference between a clean bathroom and a CLEAN bathroom. Shiny faucet hardware means that an extra conscience effort went into making the clean sink AND presentable. There are a lot of domestic businesses that will wipe everything down and make it look clean, and use up time and charge by the hour. You should be paying for the service, not for clean countertops. ;)
