Hello and welcome to my page. My name is Laila. I am an engineer and absolutely love love LOVE teaching math. I worked at NASA for 4 years as a robotics engineer until I decided to pursue a new career and become a math astronaut.
I have a Bachelors in Civil Engineering from Purdue University and a Masters in Mechanical Engineering from Portland State University.
I help students learn math in the format that will help them succeed in the classroom and feel prepared for future endeavors.

I was very happy from the first phone call I made to Laila. My son had pretty much given up
On math till she started tutoring him. He was always a great student but had a few rough classes of math. From the first session she connected with him on some of his likes other than math that made his connection with her stronger and therefore the math lesson more intriguing to him. Laila was able to help him understand the concept of math like no other teacher has been able to. I saw him very confident on test day because of the prep she had done with him to understand the material. If you are looking for a tutor that will not only teach your child but also care that your child is learning to the best of their ability Laila is the tutor for them.

Laila is amazing! My son had accomplished more with her than he ever has with any other tutor. My son felt that Laila explained things well. She made sure he understood the concept by having him do extra problems. She has given him so much more confidence. My son can understand his homework and investment in her coaching is worth every cent! I’m so glad we found Laila! She was always on time and never once had to reschedule, she is extremely reliable. She also accommodates us if we needed extra time such as with finals and assignments. Laila is very familiar with the school math curriculum, patient, and great with teenagers. I highly recommend her if you are in the market for a bright mathtutor. Laila goes into great detail, breaking down each type of math problem and giving my son tips on how to recognize what, exactly, he’s being asked to do in each particular problem. She offers key words to tell him which operation to use and gives practical suggestions on how to figure out each problem. Laila is an excellent tutor who always has a vast knowledge and understanding of any math subjects that my son comes and asks for help for. She’s Very kind and friendly. I would recommend her to any student. A truly intelligent lady she is! It has been a pleasure to know her and we couldn’t be happier with her tutoring and amazing teaching skills, my son's grades have proven and he has been more confident thanks to her! My student is advanced but needed tips to be more successful and more confident in his ability . We have been looking for math help. My daughter, Audrey, and I were so blessed to find Laila as a math coach!! It was the summer between Audrey’s sophomore and junior year and the world was in the middle of a COVID pandemic. There were no summer jobs to be had, so it seemed like a good opportunity to use this free time to start preparing for PSAT/SAT/ACT. What a blessing this “free time” turned out to be!
I looked at many profiles and was impressed with Laila’s credentials. From the beginning Laila was professional, prompt and went above and beyond being just a tutor; she mentored Audrey, was a cheerleader and gave great advice on how to prepare for test taking. Laila was an authority that Audrey trusted and it was a relief to have someone other than me holding Audrey accountable.
Audrey’s PSAT math score improved 90 points from sophomore to junior year! She did several practice SAT/SAT tests proctored by Laila which gave her great experience in time management and test endurance. I highly recommend Laila as a Math coach!!!

I customize all my prices to my clients because each person is unique. It really depends if the want nutritional and or fitness coaching. Also it depended if you purchase a product from me and or a service.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to go over the clients medical history, background and go over their goals and what expectations are they looking for in a coach.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I help my clients to reach their mission milestones.
I am an engineer and use to work for NASA. I use engineering to help my clients stay on track and focused.
I also received my certification to become a Nutrition Therapy Practitioner (NTP) to be able to dive deeper with my clients and help them with their health foundations.
