As a professional artist, Tricia leverages her training at Antioch University Midwest where she earned an MA in Integrated Art Studies. She also earned an MFA from Antioch University Los Angeles. In Creative Writing. She also learned a lot through her teachings of Visual Art at the K-12 Art Gallery, Dayton Art Institute, and Rosewood Art Gallery. Tricia also started her own line of glass jewelry, hand-made and customized for each person. Her latest major accomplishment includes a mural in Downtown Dayton for a local grocery store. What do you love about your job?

I love inspiring and teaching others how to create beautiful pieces of art that they are proud of. I also love that I get to paint and create art on a daily basis.

What or who inspired you to start your own business?

It's something I've always wanted to do since I was a kid. I wanted to be an artist and have my own business. I doubt I ever imagined I'd combine the two. For years, as an adult, I wanted to start my own business, but just wasn't sure how or where to start. Finally, I just did it. I needed a job and wasn't having any luck so I created my own. I was inspired by my son who was 7 at the time and asked for a painting birthday party. After that was a success, I started teaching painting classes and art for birthday parties. After two and a half years of working from my home, I decided to open the retail location. It's been an exciting adventure!
