Oh man... so many things to choose from. I love being the 'fly on the wall' during a shoot. I love directing people and watching them relax as the shoot or event goes on. Once this happens, you just get to watch memories happen from behind the lens and capture them. I get a kick out of client feedback along the lines of 'I didn't even know you captured that!' or 'Oh my gosh! You caught our (fill in the blank) faces! I love this!'.

The engagement photo shoot with Casey was just perfect. My Fiance, Ryan and I didnt know what to expect as this was our first photo shoot. We had arrived to Indiana on the day of the shoot and looked at venues for our wedding all afternoon. We decided on having our photos taken at Brown County State Park, a place that Ryan had visited since he was a child with family. Casey arrived to the park early to look for the perfect locations to take the photos. She found them! Casey made us feel absolutely comfortable and really set the stage for a fabulous session, filled with great ideas! I had the wonderful honor of working with Casey while having some photos of my son taken and all I can say is WOW! The environment she creates is so comfortable and natural that you are not so much posing for the camera as you are enjoying the moment. This fact does not go unnoticed in the finished product. Casey's photos are unbelievably beautiful. They not only capture the image, but genuinely the moment itself, emotions included. She brings a great positive energy to her work and has a vision that cannot be limited. For any future photo needs, I will definitely go with Casey.

Casey offered to take pictures of our son, Jethro. We have known Casey for some time, so it was special to us for her to volunteer her professional services. I did not know what to expect, but I had seen plenty of K-Mart Blue Light Special baby pictures on mantles and figured the ones she took would look something like those. I was wrong in the best kind of way. She completely exceeded my expectations. She did so in two main ways. One, she has this really uncanny ability to capture the greatest and funniest and most genuine moments with her camera. It truly is a gift. We already knew that our son was the cutest baby on the face of the earth ever, but somehow Casey was able to find a way to maximize that inherent cuteness exponentially. Two, she invests every arty iota of herself unapologetically into her projects. She is not going to sit you down in a boring sterile white-walled room and force you to say "cheese" with a red hot cattle prod (unless you want her to). She is going to take you to the front range of the Rockies at dusk when the sky boasts the most color and make you feel like you are having the time of your life. She makes it magical. You can see it in her pictures. Casey is such a phenomenal human being. You can tell she loves doing what she does. She dives into projects with zeal and gusto and it is hard not to be whisked away in her whirlwind of creative energy as she is doing her work. She has a very special gift, and having her work with our son was a real honor. We will be going with Casey for all of our future photo needs.

How did you get started doing this type of work?
I didn't decide... it just sort of happened! I've had a camera in hand since my Grandma gifted me my first 35mm point-and-shoot when I was a kiddo. Now, I don't leave the house without a camera of some kind in tow.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I primarily shoot couples, engagements, weddings, and families... and I love it all!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Do your research. Ask questions, look at portfolios, take your time. There are so many folks in this industry and each of us provides something different. Find a photographer that meets your specific needs and caters to your style. Do you want digital images? Full resolution? Are you looking for printed products? How long do you want to shoot for - how involved do you want the photographer to be? And ALWAYS ask questions. :D
