FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing system isn't complicated. I charge a flat rate for a particular kind of shoot based on the amount of time involved. For example; $50 for spending an hour at a family reunion taking a few posed shots and the rest candid. The client would get the photos on disc or memory card as they prefer. If additional editing is requested after the shots are reviewed the price would be negotiated. Same goes for a wedding but since more time is involved, and usually more posed shots I charge $200 for up to three hours on site.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I got into this line of work because I love taking pictures.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
The most common request is to mingle at gatherings or events and quietly take candid pictures or the participants. I avoid taking pictures of people in embarrassing situations. I believe people should have their best moments captured.
