FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I'm simple with pricing. I charge $50 for all software service up to an hour, and an additional $25/hour after that if I come to you. If you bring a computer to me, or you want to pay by the job, my prices are below: Virus removal: $99 System recovery (basic data recovery from a working system and system re-install): $149 Data recovery (from a non-working system, no re-install): $199 if successful Data recovery (camera memory card): $99 if successful Network consultation: $75 per call and $30/hour afterward, unless we contract a project
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Of course! I'm currently pursuing training and certifications from Microsoft, CompTIA, and Cisco in areas like Desktop support, Server support, and Networking and Security. Plus, since I'm in the industry as a full-time job, I learn about things very quickly. I'm a geek and I love talking about the newest tech, from the Apple Watch to Google Glass and smart thermostats like the Nest. I'm a good source for anything tech.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've always wanted to help people. Ask my mom; I wanted to be a doctor since I was three. I was in college and started fixing computers for friends, and I started making money off it and it didn't feel like work. Now I work full time as a server administrator and helpdesk technician, as well as doing freelance work, and it never feels like I'm working: just having fun!
