FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I worked for my mentor during the summer of my sophomore year and as he put it, I caught the bug, I cut my first hip roof and it all fit like a glove!!!! It was a done deal then.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Find out who will actually be doing the work, is the owner actually on the job, is he a skilled craftsman or a sales guy who pretends his subs are his employees? Typically subs work for a set price and that translates to faster/more money/profit. Which in most cases leads to the just cover it up kind of attitude from the guys actually doing the work. I have yet to find a homeowner in 30 plus years that wanted me to cover up a problem just to save some time or money.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
I guess it would be just be patient as I am, the finish product will be well worth the discomfort the homeowner will experience during the project. We do our best to minimize the customers discomfort during the process.
