For years I struggled to find a Spanish teacher / class for someone like me - I grew up speaking Spanish with my extended family but became rusty into adulthood through lack of practice. Most classes out there are for absolute beginners so I liked that ESSLINGUA is designed to meet the student where they are at in their language journey. Luis keeps the classes fresh and fun and our classes have become one of my favorite pastimes to break up the busy work week.

I highly recommend these classes. Luis has been my teacher for a few years now and my Spanish has improved much more than I would have imagined.He's very intuitive at understanding my skill level while providing the perfect amount of challenging exercises based around my interests, hobbies and goals. I've had lessons with him that he's improvised on the spot based on a conversation I've had on the street or with Spanish friends, building grammar and conversational structures around phrases or concepts that I had difficulty understanding. Luis is a pro.I look forward to these lessons every week and have recommended him to friends and family.

Luis is an amazing teacher. His style of teaching is very dynamic and spontaneous. Often he will divert from a specific exercise to inject a story or video or media that reinforces the subject being studied. He encourages personal conversation at the start of the class which sets a great mood for relaxed and engaged learning.Great way to learn!!
