FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My prices are fair and competitive with the market and the scope of the job being hired for. My typical labor rate for painting is a flat $1 per square foot of wall for walls less than 15 ft tall. That includes minor prep work - such as a dusting, sanding any bits that may need it, filling small holes (nail and picture), and the tape/blocking. Any extensive prep-work needed does come at a little bit of an extra charge. Paint is not included in that price - that is in addition to the labor charge. Initial design consults are around $60 an hour depending on the level of the design work required.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For room design and color coordination, we like to take time to talk with you and get a feel for your needs, wants, likes, and furniture choices to get the best color for your space. If you need a different service, we will do a free on-site consultation and build you a quote on the spot - no commitments necessary.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have years of experience in painting with my mother as a teen doing work for realtors in the North Carolina area. I also helped my dad build our house and have lots of experience from maintaining, upgrading and building things for my own houses over the years.
