Martin Grundner (Math, Chemistry Tutor)

I have a graduate degree in Math and Chemistry Education from the Johannes Kepler University of Linz, Austria. For eight years, I taught math and chemistry at a secondary level (ages 10-18) in Austria, until I moved to the U.S. in 2014. Currently, I work as a professional math and science tutor at a local community college and as a private tutor. I tutor all math classes up to Calculus II and general chemistry. During lessons, I give concise explanations as needed but reserve most of the time for guided practice and application. My goal is to help my students develop thorough understanding and mastery and not just memorize a procedure. That way, the subject will start to make sense and might even become fun! Teaching is my passion, and I believe that learning can and should be a fulfilling experience. I am a patient and encouraging teacher and tutor and love to see my students overcome difficulties, gain confidence, and develop their potential. I look forward to helping you succeed!
