Andrea has been excellent to work with. She has helped me get back on track with my eating and exercising. She has given me recipes, exercises I can do at home, showed me a app I can use for my eating. She is positive with me and makes me want to work hard. Andrea's solution focused therapy sessions allowed my husband and I to really open up to each other. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I am a private pay therapist and my fee is $75 a session. I do not go through the insurance companies but can issue a Superbill that you are welcome to submit on your own.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I offer a free 20 minute phone consultation/interview. From there, sessions are 50 minutes. Sessions are designed for each individual to tell their story. Homework will be assigned between sessions to help clients continue the process of learning at home.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology and a Bachelor's in Communications. I have been licensed as a counselor since 1998. I spend a significant amount of time studying various theorist on communication and marriage counseling. I attend workshops in this area whenever possible for continuing education credit.
