FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've known since I was a boy that I wanted to be an artist. I've just never left that dream. I became an art teacher, and I loved a lot of things about that job. But I felt over the last year that it was time to make my own art. I may go back to teaching eventually, but now it's time to get professional design experience so I can eventually draw on that to help students.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
A young woman that my wife and I know has a cupcake business. She is just 14, but makes 22 varieties of gourmet cupcake. I made a logo for her. It was my first project after I decided to leave education for the design industry. And it was a great success. She now has a beautiful logo, a sticker seal for her bakery box, and a classy menu.
