We are current customers of Culligan Kansas City. Due to circumstances beyond our control, we will be moving to Springfield, Missouri mid-September. We really like Culligan service and expressed that we wished to reinstate service at our new location, however this franchisee has denied our request repeatedly and is demanding the balance of the contract... a measly $300. As a fellow business owner, I understand the importance of customer service. If a similar situation was happening within my business, and I knew I would lose a growing business customer for good, I would want to know and remedy the situation. We want to continue Culligan service, but I cannot continue with Culligan into the future if this is what customer service looks like. It's a poor choice to lose a good customer over $300 when there are thousands of dollars in future earnings at stake for the company as a whole. It simply doesn't make sense. What a shame that the greed of one franchisee will destroy any hope for future contracts with a service we really do enjoy. All we want to do is transfer our account and continue receiving water from the company, but it would appear it's every franchise for itself.

Our basement is 80% finished and the water supply line is across the room from the mechanicals room. We knew going in the installation was going to be a challenge and gave Todd, the installer the green light to make as many holes as needed in the ceiling to gain access. Fortunately Todd figured out a way to cut only one hole which we covered with a return air vent. We love the feel of the soft water and especially like the wireless valve for the RO system. This allows us to dispense water from the existing kitchen faucet and prevented us from drilling a hole through the counter top. Todd did a great job. Overall a very professional, neat installation and the equipment appears to be top notch.

I bought a water softener from Culligan about 3 weeks ago. The verbal quote I received was for $3900. At the time, competing quotes I had received were for $1700. Despite any advantages of the Culligan softener there was no way I was going to pay that premium. A day later the salesman called back and offered $2500. This was obviously much higher than the competition, but I ultimately determined to go with Culligan because of the fact that the Culligan system used a flow meter to only regenerate when it needs to, WiFi enablement to monitor salt usage and remotely shut water off, and the overall supposed high level of customer service from Culligan. When the technician first got to me home they said- you don't have electrical service where we need it- I can't do this today. I wasn't told this during the sales visit, but I chalked it up to an oversight by the salesman and ran the electrical service needed from the circuit breaker. The next week (after taking off work a 2nd time) the installer showed up. He was professional and did a good job- however, as we were running through the features I asked about WiFi and how to remotely control it. He said that I bought the cheapest model and to get this feature I would have had to buy their most expensive model. Not only was this not explicitly mentioned, the salesman never even showed me a list of models and their respective features. I am only speculating, but perhaps the original quote was for the most expensive model and then they switched me to the cheapest model when I didn't go for the high cost option. In any case, I was never informed of any of this. I never even got a written quote showing the model I purchased and its list of features until I signed the purchase agreement. Even then all that agreement showed was the model name, so I would have had to do my own research to validate what features I was getting. After the softener was installed I noticed an immediate and significant pressure loss in our upstairs shower. Essentially the shower is now unusable when any other appliance (i.e., washer) is running. Even with nothing else on the flow is extremely weak. I immediately called the sales office to discuss my two complaints. It took probably 3-4 calls to finally get the sales manager to talk to me. I laid out my two concerns (misleading features, loss of water pressure) and he didn't have any immediate solutions for me. I asked him to please look into it and give me a call back. I never heard back. I've since called back 5-6 times and can't get anyone to call back. My overall recommendation would be to save your money and go with a much less expensive softener. There's absolutely no reason to choose Culligan for better customer service and some of the additional features you may find attractive aren't available unless you buy a very expensive model.

Are water tests are free. The pricing on softners and R/O systems vary depending on install and type of equipment. We have financing with options of 1% payments!

Start out with a water test of the home and then give options from there on how to correct the situation and give the best water for the home.

All of are techs have extensive training on are products and get consistent new education day to day on all the new products.
