FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a professional software developer during the day, so I am required to keep up to date on technology so that I can write software that is targeted for that hardware. Other than that, I have a personal interest in computers and computer theory so I learn about it on my own time.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
This work really found me. I was an only child when I was growing up, and the internet was really coming into its own. I started spending hours online to connect with people from around the world, and the technology of how the internet worked fascinated me so I began to teach myself. My parents are business owners and saw that I was starting to gain skills with computers and asked me if I could help them at their office to maintain their workstations and network. The rest is history!
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Most commonly I am either attempting to fix computers that are riddled with viruses or malware, or I am attempting to fix a computer that won't even turn on.
