Jim Hartley has been teaching families, fighters and especially kids since 1981. Jim was trained under Steve Mackey and Mark Payne in the famous Bushidokan system founded by Jim Harrison.
American Karate is based on techniques and defense from Bushidokan, shorin-ryu, tae-kwon-do, kung fu, kempo, judo and jui-jitsu. Jim Hartley is a Bushido Kan black belt, as well as a high school wrestling champion and former world-class kick boxer.
