FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I will meet with a customer at their property to discuss their needs as well as provide immediate feedback and suggestions. Depending on the size of the project, I am able to provide an immediate bid proposal, or for larger projects, submit a bid proposal within a few days. Upon acceptance of a proposal, work is usually scheduled for the next couple of days. During busy seasons, work is scheduled two weeks out at the most. We perform our work quickly and efficiently so you get your yard back and can enjoy it in as little time as possible.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Plant Science degree with an emphasis in Landscape Horticulture from the University of Missouri. Over the course of 15 years working within the industry, I have managed projects such as landscape and irrigation installations at all sizes of residential properties and performed a lot of work on commercial properties such as Wal-Marts, Targets, Home Depots, schools, retail shopping stores and restaurants.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've always had a passion for the outdoors and construction, and since my father owned a landscape business for over 30 years, going into the landscaping industry was a good fit. I first started in the industry working for my father as well as taking care of lawns in nearby neighborhoods while in High School. My role in my father's business picked up while I was attending college in 2005. I worked in his business until 2013 and began Lighthouse Landscape & Design in 2015. Lighthouse Landscape & Design performs approximately $200k-$300k in landscaping services annually.
