- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I decided even before I started hair school that I was going to do hair extensions. I went to a stylist and paid her $1500 for a full set of mini-loc hair extensions and went home that night and they all fell out. When I went back to the salon the next day, they said she had quit. I never got any of my money back. I decided I never wanted anyone to go through that again!!
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Sometimes a client will fall in love with a short cut for summer and by winter want hair again, so I add them the desired length and fullness they crave for!
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Ask a lot questions! If a stylist is good at what she does she won't mind answering. Also ask to see certification, too many untrained stylists are out their pretending to have been educated.
