Introduction: I earned a BA in English/Professional Writing & Editing, a Minor in Philosophy, and Juris Doctor from the University of Kentucky College of Law. I have been licensed to practice law in Kentucky since 1994 and actively engaged in the practice of law since that time until I closed my private practice to take a sabbatical in early 2013. Prior to my legal career I had vast experience in music performance and music instruction, technical writing, library archive authorship, landscaping, restaurant work, drywall work, tobacco farming, library services, management, and retail sales. During my legal career, I have written and published numerous technical Articles, book Chapters and seminar materials regarding statutory and regulatory interpretation and application, litigation skills, workers compensation law, construction defects & litigation, discovery techniques, and also have researched and drafted submissions for private and government RFP's. I have extensive online and hands-on document review experience on large scale projects for pharmaceutical cases, product liability class actions, complex commercial and corporate litigation, large commercial construction claims, worker's compensation matters, medical malpractice and bankruptcy adversary claims.
