- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Basic service if you bring the equipment to me starts at 20. Parts are up to you to purchase, and I will consultations for free as part of the install price. I try to keep complete service costs to individuals as cost effective as possible. If I have to drive on site, it is 70USD per hour and minimum one hour. If I can fix it in 15 minutes or less I will throw in various service offerings such as security consultation or virus/malware software consultation as part of the arrival.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
As part of my job, I am constantly thrown in the mix with new equipment, policies, and practices. Although I have no dedicated professional development budget I am often self taught.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I grew up on a farm, and watched my dad labor till the callouses broke on his hands and still kept working. I told myself I never want to work like that, and looked for something I could do that was technical and still interesting.
