As a single woman I never know if an auto mechanic, HVAC expert or plumber is exploiting me, okay? It's like since I moved to KY I have a bullseye target on my forehead. This guy was straightforward, kind. Punctual. Knew what he was doing. He was easy enough to make a joke or two. He gave it to me straight, that my oven's main control board was out. I didn't want to pay $400 but neither did I want a nonworking oven. That oven's worked for 8 years so I figure I'm ready for it to go wonky, right? The other Thumbtack pro I hired never showed up so this guy took his place and was wonderful. Plus he gave me some good, free advice about my circuit breakers. He deserves a lot of praise. I'm glad I hired Sam and I'd bloody well do it again.

Sam came to check my refrigerator the same day and was very thorough, finding the problem quickly and efficiently. Although my repair required a part no longer available, he spent a great deal of effort trying to find a replacement for it on the internet.
