Bobby and his team took on my project with short notice and did an incredible job in cleaning a 3000 sq ft 4 bedroom house. They left the house ready to show and to go on the market after spending all day scrubbing and cleaning inside and out. I had several special requests from steamcleaning carpets to powerscrubbing decks to hauling away garbage and they handled it all including cleaning up landscaping, mowing, etc. One stop shop!! I'd recommend them every time and I do not believe there is a job too big or small!!!

Kris did an excellent job for me. He stretched carpet in hall and 3 bedrooms to remove the wrinkles. Carpet looks like brand new installation. He responded very quickly and showed up as promised. I was very impressed how he cleaned up after his work and vacuumed my carpets. I deffinatley would recommend him for all your carpet needs.

Garry was great through the whole process and especially with his actual work. He anticipated 4-5 hours of work and spent 8 hours without taking a break or going for lunch at NO extra cost. We just purchased the house and the carpet was very neglected and had several serious stains but no pets. Garry worked very hard trying to make the carpet the best that could humanly possible be and I feel he succeeded doing so. Everything Garry said he would do he did from the time showing up and to the cost. Which was a very reasonable price for the time and effort that he extended to cleaning the carpet. I have already been handing out his business cards to family and friends recommending Garry for their Carpet cleaning needs. On a scale of 1-10 Garry was a 12 at least.

Randy was on time, professional, price was fair. Quality of work was good--I had some tough stains and pet odor problems from an ailing cat. Most stains came out and the carpet looked better. Big improvement and I would recommend him and use him again.

They recently did my upstairs carpets where one of my cats frequently urinates causing an unpleasant smell and yellowing of the carpet. They did a great job with stain and smell removal. They were very reasonably priced and were very nice and professional while working. I was amazed how quickly they worked through the job. I would highly recommend them and plan to use them for future needs.

Mr Helms did an AWESOME job. We had our basement that had urine stains from our elderly pets. I have asthma and he did research for what chemicals he would be using. He informed us of everything he would be doing. Very nice and professional. Would highly recommend for any job. He guarantees his work if you are not satisfied.

Wayne did an AMAZINjob cleaning our carpet. He was able to remove stains I expected never to come clean. A naughty dog chewed up a color / black & white jumbo sized printer ink cartridge and I thought the carpet was ruined. Nope! Wayne got it cleaned and saved the carpet! Highly recommended!!!

Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How often should carpets be steam cleaned?

Dirty carpets can be unhealthy for the people living in the home, particularly those who have allergies, so it’s important to have them cleaned regularly; simply vacuuming once or twice a week isn’t enough. Carpet cleaning should be done by a professional carpet cleaning service at least once a year to remove grime and help extend the life of your carpet. Most carpet manufacturers recommend professional steam cleaning, which penetrates deep into the carpet fibers and lifts out both dirt and the pollutants that get tracked inside. Steam cleaning also removes most of the moisture, so carpets dry quickly enough for homeowners to resume using them the same day. Between professional carpet cleanings, your carpet may need an emergency spot cleaning. Pet accidents, food or drink spills, and more can often be effectively cleaned with some water and a drop of white vinegar, although many cleaners will also make house calls for smaller spills and hard-to-clean spots like wine or grease stains.

Who cleans area rugs?

Like your carpets, area rugs should ideally be cleaned at least once a year to remove dust and dirt and help them last longer. In general, carpet cleaning professionals also clean area rugs. Some rug cleaners bring their cleaning equipment to your home, while others remove your area rugs and clean them at their facilities. Either way, the rug should be cleaned with the solution most appropriate to its specific fabric and construction. It should also be completely dry before you return it to the floor.

How much is the cheapest carpet?

If you’re looking to reduce carpet installation costs, there are several ways to save. Start by considering your carpeting needs. Manufactured materials such as polyester and nylon will be cheaper than natural fibers such as wool. From big box retailers, starting prices for olefin-based carpet are approximately 50 cents per square foot — making the cost under $5 per square yard. Indoor carpets made with olefin fibers are typically the least expensive on the market. Keep in mind that olefin fibers are not as soft on bare feet as other fibers, so are often used in areas like basements, playrooms or indoor patios. Nylon and polyester are good options to reduce carpet installation costs while still creating a cozy feel. The face weight, fiber construction and density of a carpet all affect the cost per square foot. The cheapest nylon or polyester carpets can start at just under $2 per square foot, making them about $18 per square yard. Lower-cost carpet tends to wear out more quickly and show stains more easily, so avoid light colors and vacuum regularly to keep the fibers clear of dirt that might age it too quickly.

How much does it cost to install carpet?

If you’re ready to bring new life into your house with a makeover from the ground up, you’re ready to learn more about carpet installation costs. Installation costs vary greatly, depending on a number of factors such as the type of carpet, the number of square yards, any necessary repair work, the number of stairs you have, and where you live. Due to these variables, the national average cost of carpet installation ranges between $200 and $4,500.

To start planning for your new carpet, measure roughly how many square yards of carpet you’ll need. Research the main carpet styles and materials you like to get a feel for what they cost. Nylon carpets are typically the least expensive, and wool is one of the higher-end carpets. Prices per square foot might range from under $2 to over $10, depending on materials. Count the number of stairs you want carpeted; each one might average between $3 and $10 (or more for box steps). Carpet removal can be an added cost as well, averaging $1-$4 per square yard, depending on the company and regional disposal costs.

How much does it cost to clean a rug?

Area rugs are typically found in high-traffic areas of the home, like hallways and entryways, so they collect more dirt and stains than simple vacuuming can handle. Similar to carpet cleaning, professionals can come to your home to deep-clean your area rugs. The national average cost for rug cleaning ranges from $80 to $120, but may be higher or lower depending on the rug’s size and fiber type. Rug cleaners generally charge by the square foot; for example, a standard 8-foot by 10-foot rug costs an average of $100 to clean. Natural fiber rugs, such as wool or silk, are usually more expensive to have cleaned than synthetic rugs. A carpeting cleaning company may charge on average $1.50 per square foot to clean a synthetic rug, $2 per square foot for a wool rug, and $3 per square foot for a silk rug. Some delicate rugs need to be washed by hand, which increases the price. Carpet cleaning companies often offer additional services, such as removing odors or applying moth deterrent, which can add 20 cents to 25 cents per square foot.
