- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our system is not complicated , Its just like everybody else. for 65 people and above one meat a starch a vegetable ,drink salad is running about 10.00 add a 2nd meat and you could be at 11.00 on up depends on the meat. 60 people and under you could be looking at 12.00 a plate and extra meat youre around 13.00 on up.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I wish I could but know. The internet keeps me on my toes now and all these new food channels. I love it. When some one ask me about a dish I cant prepare I can easily look it up and watch how to prepare it. Thank God for the internet. But Im praying that God will send me a special blessing to teach under a really special chef even if it's for 2 or 3 months. I would love that . And I would love to maybe take some classes too as long as I didn't have to do math again.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
When I was young I used to work for Spalding College and the nuns got me a full time Job at Nazereth Home in Dietary , God was planning my life at this time. people use to call in and I had to learn every job in that department. Head Cook, Dinning room, dish room Tray line, Salad girl, Not to mention help my boss cater the homes meetings, Some would even be off premise. I left there and work at Phillip Morris and never cooked again except for friends and family. I had a uncle that was a French chef , he came to stay with me in the summer and was teaching me soo many things. Then he dided and left me all these cook books and chaffendishes, 6 months later my husband was loosing his job of 18 years to downsizing. So much for his perfect attendance they didn't care, That's when I had to step up to the plate. We had just bought or house and weren't in it about 8 months, me a new Honda accord. I was not about to loose all that too. It will make you find your new profession quick. And Im still at it. That's why God had to take that Job from Curtis so I could do what Im supposed to be doing. He has another good job and about to retire from there..
