- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Masters degree in Public Administration with a concentration in Nonprofit Administration. I hold a certificate of training from the nationally recognized Grantsmanship Center. I am also a member of the Grant Professionals Association, Kentucky Chapter.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have worked in fundraising in the nonprofit world for 5 years, and like most grant writers -- I sort of fell into it. But I absolutely love the work, so the it was the best kind of fall.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Mostly, I write to local foundations in the Louisville, KY community. I have experience writing grants for the following: program development and program related investments, capital, capacity building, equipment, building and renovation, and general operating and continuing support.
