FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I defer to what the customer feels more comfortable with. Many wish to have a phone consultation before I get started on their project. Others are happy with email correspondence.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Master of Education degree and a Bachelor of Business Administration. I have also completed all coursework towards a doctorate in Organizational Leadership. The last 10 years, I ran career centers in Louisville where I assisted hundreds of job seekers with resume building and job search.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
For resume writing, I ask the customer to email me their most recent resume and links to jobs they want to apply for. For editing and proofreading, I simply need to see the document and get any specific instructions/parameters form the author. For larger projects, I prefer to set up a phone call to discuss the project before I get started. For grant writing, I need to see the RFP and get some background on the organization so I have a framework. Once I read the RFP, then I like to have a phone conference to discuss the details of the proposal.
