There are photographers, and then there is Tyler Byars. Even though he primarily shoots musicians (which I love because my husband is a traditional country/ southern gospel singer), he agreed to shoot our vow renewal for our 22nd anniversary, and I am so grateful.
From the minute that I first contacted Tyler, he went above and beyond my expectations to ensure my special day was perfect. This started with a preliminary phone call to discuss my desires, budget, and to just see if we were a good fit to work together. I really appreciated that professionalism.
Throughout the months leading up to the event, I reached out to him a few different times. His responses were always timely and professional. My biggest concern was getting a repeat of my first weddingphotos, which I hated. They seemed cold and emotionless- like I wasn’t even happy to be getting married. So, I expressed this concern to Tyler. I will never forget him saying to me that he is honored to be the one to get to redeem my weddingphotos.
I was a little stressed on the day of the event, but one of the things that helped me relax and just enjoy the day was Tyler. He made my husband and I both laugh as he gave us instructions on how to pose for the photos. My mother, who is a graphic designer, bragged on his professionalism and personality - and she isn’t the easiest to please. My best friend, who used to own a photography studio before starting her family, told me the day after the event that she could tell by the positions Tyler got into to take photos that they were going to be very good.
When the photos finally arrived a few weeks later, I was more than blown away. I am literally obsessed with them! Tyler did such a great job capturing the full range of emotions throughout the entire day. These memories will be preserved for a lifetime, and I will never be able to fully express my gratitude for all of Tyler’s hard work.
I also want to add that he is just genuinely a great person. Aside from his professional demeanor, I just really enjoyed getting to know Tyler over the last several months. He is kind, thoughtful, funny, and really cares about people. If he lived closer to our area, he is someone that I would call a friend. By the time the photos were done, we were discussing personal interests, and he even recommended a book for us to read. As a photographer, he is just easy to talk to and very personable, and that made the entire photo experience much more memorable.
Regardless of what project you have, if you are in need of a photographer, please hire Tyler Byars. You will not be disappointed! After this experience, I would trust Tyler with any photo or video needs.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start with a brief discovery call to clarify goals, audience, and timeline. From there I’ll outline a clear scope, creative direction, and production plan.
Once aligned, we schedule the shoot, execute with precision, and move into post-production with defined delivery expectations.
If for any reason I think I'm not the right fit, I’m happy to point you in the right direction.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a degree in Public Relations and Media Communications and have spent years working within the touring music industry, corporate environments, non-profits, and political campaigns.
That range allows me to understand not just how to create compelling visuals - but how they function within branding, messaging, and strategy.
