Let me say up front, I am a tough customer with very high expectations, and good contractors are hard to find. We found Cornerstone Construction via Thumbtack, and this was a good experience! We had a bedroom laundry closet that wasn't deep enough to accommodate our new full-size washer and dryer. They stuck out a little bit and we had to remove the closet doors. We knew what we wanted: Someone to 'carve out' the existing front of the closet and 'bump it out' about 12". When finished, we wanted it to look like it had always been that way, and to be paint ready so we could paint it ourselves. Frank Alvaraz was terrific to work with from the start. He was professional, communicative, accommodating, timely, and the quote price was fair. I could tell from his questions and communications he wanted to understand exactly what we expected. Frank and the workers did a very good job. They were open to feedback and adjustments along the way and were not the least bit difficult about any of it. When I determined, after installation, that the planned sets of closet doors were just not of a satisfactory quality, he was happy to return to install a second better quality set of doors we found later. My only less-than-favorable piece of feedback would be that the second set of doors had some off-the-shelf blemishes on them, and I would have preferred waiting until he had acquired two unblemished sets of doors for installation. That said, buying items in a store can be tricky, and to his credit he spent extra time and effort making them look as fine as possible. He did a good job. Would we use Cornerstone Construction? You bet. Thank you Cornerstone Construction, and Frank Alvarez!
