For our annual family photo shoot, we suggested a place near our home on the lakefront with a backdrop of the water and the old oaks. Desiree met us there on a Sunday, as this was most convenient for our family. She was able to expertly walk the line between the extemporaneous opportunities that arise when my wife and I get silly with our two children (4 and 2 years) and getting the shots that every family wants. Photos that come to mind are my wife with my daughter on her back and myself with my son on my shoulders. She was more of shepherd to the process than a conductor. She made us feel like we were guiding the artistic direction of the shoot and worked in the least intrusive way to capture the expressions and emotions that were naturally happening. It was quick and painless and the results are present in various locations in my home and the homes of our family. Thanks to Desiree, we've captured a small window into what our lives were that day. I just love looking into that window.

I asked Desiree if she could take pictures of my daughter and me. I didn't give her much sense of direction The only thing I knew I DID want was for these pictures to show a special mother - daughter relationship. Desi went above and beyond those expectations. She's amazing, I will use her over and over again as well as recommend her in a heart beat.
