FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I do not really have a standard pricing system. I try to maintain a fair price that I think will work well with the customer and for my own needs as a qualified technician. At times there is standard pricing such as just having to change out basic hardware components such as laptop screens and hard drives. I only charge 45 in labor for these tasks. When getting into software related problems the pricing could get more involved depending upon how difficult it is to fix.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to give reasonable quotes to the clients. Then I give a reasonable time as to when the work will be finished as well as give a reason for the price including parts and labor.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a business degree where I also studied many things related to the computer field at that college such as Computer Architecture, Networking, Databases, and the fundamentals of Programming. I also studied Electronics and Computer Repair at another University where I learned the fundamentals of electricity within electronics, their components, the correct way to calculate whether a component has failed either with tools or also with mathematical equations to give a good understanding of what is wrong on circuit boards. I learned how to fix circuit boards with soldering techniques, and replace circuit board components as well as read electronic schematics to design functional electronics. I also studied basic and advanced computer repair and networking at this university.
