    Tile Removal

This is hard to do because when we hired TWG it was to restore a home after the flood and the crew was from out of state. After 5 weeks (one of which the crew disappeared and we had to locate them and they'd gone home) of a couple people working and the contractor sitting on his butt while on his phone all day, they were finally given a deadline to be out. When the crew left, the job was unfinished, the tile floor that was guaranteed to be flat and smooth as glass was uneven, left filthy and not polished as promised, the tile around the wall in the bathroom wasn't grouted nor finished, there are spots on the walls that were touch up paint spots, drips of wall color paint on the door frames, spots on the door frames where the paint ran. So, in the end would I hire the out of state crew again? Definitely not. Would I hire the BR crew? Doubtful.

Outrageous prices in a disaster. Twice as much as other competitors.

This lady asked how much per sheet to hang, tape and float 4 x 12 sheets of drywall over the phone and i told her 17 a sheet for labor only and 33 for labor and materials. this is 33% below market rates. she is ignorant of the facts and the job was for her house flipping boy friend not her- scam artist looking for cheap to free labor so they can profit on the resale. BEWARE THESE CHEAP SKATE PEOPLE.

I called several companies for new Vinyl replacement windows and at the end of the presentation they were way more than what was advertised or promised. I called TWG and they were so professional and honest! From start to finish the experience was FABULOUS! I will definitely call TWG for all my home improvement needs!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We estimate with Xactimate, the leading construction estimating software in the nation. The pricing is based on Lowes wholesale contracting pricing and federal labor indexes. When working with insurance claim contracts, we bill the insurance company for our reconstruction cost. When working on a competitive bid contract we estimate using XactRemodel pricing and offer the best valued bid we can while still remaining competitive and profitable as a business.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We will send out an estimator to take a look at the project and offer a detailed, written quote defining the project in detail. On most projects we will invoice electronically for a deposit when we are hired for materials and labor to start. Once our client's project is completed and they are satisfied, we will submit another electronic invoice for final payment.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our Management team has over 100 years of combined experience in the construction industry and holds Insurance Adjusting licensing, NFIP & Wind, Fire and Light Commercial certifications. We attend all the manufacturer training programs we can and our team leader is a Licensed Adjuster as well as a Registered home improvement contractor. He attends the latest insurance claim training programs available in the area as well as across the country.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Most clients are just like you, regular people with renovation projects looking for a trust worthy professional to help get their job done under budget and on schedule. Home improvement- Light Commercial> Renovation | Restoration | Roofing. Since 2004 our team leader has been project managing residential and light commercial renovation projects with an emphasis on insurance claim restoration contracting. TWG only works with the best building materials & skilled tradesmen in the business. Our team of estimators and project managers ensures that every job is done to our clients specifications before we even start the job.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
Not only do we do roofing repairs for insurance claim contracts: A homeowner called us in an emergency situation in which their AC unit flooded their attic and on the floor while they were out of town. They came home to a flood disaster. Our team deployed our flood mitigation equipment and we dried the house out and replaced all the damaged flooring, drywall, insulation and trim before any mold had a chance to cause long term damage. We worked well with the homeowners insurance adjuster and were able to save the homeowners from a very expensive and uncomfortable situation by finishing the work in less than 14 days.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure they are licensed and fully insured-
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
The most important factor in our opinion is the time frame to start and complete the project. Make sure you have planned out all contingencies for job delays including, weather, material shipments, personal commitments and payment draw disbursements.
