I have been thinking about hiring a Style/WardrobeConsultant for years. I held back from doing so with fear that the person would be too pushy or the overall experience would exceed my comfort zone, financially. I wanted to refresh my closet. I knew I had stuff that needed to go and wanted to have more options that I love for daily wear. I work out of my home (private tutor) so I wanted to keep a casual. comfortable look but elevate it. Here's where Chris (Style Me New) came in. From our first phone conversation, I felt comfortable with her and excited to begin the process. She is so easy to work with! The closet re-do and subsequent shopping trip were so much fun. The whole experience was even better than I was hoping for. Christina was super accommodating with my last minute request to help with styling for an upcoming trip and was able to think outside of the box to come up with styling solutions for me. Her services helped increase my confidence in making what I have work and renew a sense of excitement about my wardrobe could be. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Generally all styling services are 65/hr. However I offer packages that reduce the hourly rate and provide a complete experience.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I first like to have a phone call or in person meeting to get a better sense of their styling needs, goals and budget. Then depending on whether they need a closet redo, shopping assistance or both, I will put together a proposal for them. I utilize several online tools to create virtual closets which help visualize what I hope to achieve with their appointment. My process is very much an exchange and I try to make my clients feel and look their best.
