Hello and welcome! As a professional photographer for over a decade with a background in fine art and printing before that, I’ve emerged with a strong sense of composition and color. My love for environmental portraiture is informed by my experiences photographing events, weddings, on the street, as well as live music performance. I have developed a passion for improvising with light and color, to create striking, beautiful and memorable photographs of people in any situation. This range of experience has also proven especially essential in helping me better serve the specific needs of clients whose goals are not easily described by Thumbtack’s request template.

April went out of her way to be as helpful and productive as possible. At several points things arose that could have derailed the project and she was instrumental in making it work. She worked quickly and efficiently, and the pictures were released to me very soon after the session. I highly recommend her services!

April took photos for my 31st birthday in New Orleans. She was extremely accommodating and open to my ideas. April made me feel comfortable worked well with my fluctuating schedule. I found some murals throughout the city at the last minute and April had no problem going with my change of plans. April communicates very well and I would definitely recommend her to others for their photography needs.

Great person to work with, quick to reply to all communications as this was a last minute booking. She photographed my daughters 21 birthday with her friends in the French Quarter. My girlfriend and I hired April to be our photographer during our recent trip to New Orleans in May 2018. We were celebrating our one-year anniversary and wanted to book a photo shoot to mark the occasion. And we couldn't be happier! April was simply amazing! She is very approachable and personable, and was a true professional who made our experience both fun and comfortable. Her attentiveness to capturing the photos was outstanding.   • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    Talking through projects to get a good idea about what the customer wants typically works best, but I am flexible and can work via message/email if a phone call isn’t possible.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    I went to Pratt Institute in Brooklyn and have a BFA in Photography.
