About
I believe that I have a strong sensitivity to those who I photograph. When on assignment for a documentary project, I never take a photo of someone if I would not want to be photographed in the same situation should our roles be reversed. Photography is simply a tool which allows me to explore and discover our world and the amazing lives of those who inhabit it.

Wow! Josh was an absolute delight in every possible way. He is far more talented than I had even expected from a professional photographer and magic happens when a camera is in his hands. I needed someone to take portrait shots of me for a website I'm building right now. He was extremely helpful in finding a good location to do the photo shoot and is a master at finding the best light to work with! Afterwards he sent me the photo files fully edited (they are stunning and I've never felt so confident about a portrait in my life) well before the time I had even said I needed them. I highly recommend this fantastic artist!

We hired Joshua to shoot our wedding. He did a fantastic job. Every time we look at the album, we not only relive the experience but we relive the feelings we had on the best day of our lives. He is such a talent, I couldn't imagine using anyone else. In fact, we just hired him to photograph our first baby and the pictures are stunning, expressive and we will cherish them for decades. He captures the moment and the emotions and it never looks or feels staged. Josh was born to take photos and we feel so lucky we found him.

Joshua truly is an artist. His unique perspective on life shines through his work. Creativity is present in the POV, geometric framing, & quirky shots he captures. Joshua has the ability to capture the essence of the moment. This speaks to his ability to subtly feel everyone's energy, while bringing his subjects ease through his charisma & innate love for others, while in turn capturing that essence that makes us georgeous human beings. I've worked with Joshua both professionally, & socially. He has photographed my happiest memories, as well as my professional image. His attention to detail is incredible - as not only does he capture the moment, he is keen on editing for a flawless outcome. I couldn't be happier with Josh's work!

I've worked with Josh numerous times needing different types of shots. Some have been shots of equipment (technical shots), others landscapes and living plants, and also photos of myself. Josh is efficient, has a great attention to detail, and turns around edited work quickly. I would highly recommend Josh!

Josh is not only one of the most talented, but truly generous photographers I've ever met. My colleague met Josh in San Francisco and told him about a musician empowerment project my nonprofit PeaceTones (peacetones.org) was running in Nairobi, Kenya. We would be there for one month working with musicians in three different Nairobi slums, meeting with partners, contacts and local musicians; hosting legal, tech, and business workshops for aspiring artists as well as two peace concerts; and auditioning local musicians to participate in an online artists discovery competition. Josh immediately connected with the project going above and beyond to pay his own way to Kenya to help photograph us. As a small nonprofit, it's hard to express how impactful it was to have a professional photographer capturing our work. Josh has an incredibly thoughtful eye and a way of making people feel comfortable and natural which is key when working in nonprofit work and, arguably, any photography. He is humble and extremely attentive to the needs of who he's working with, even drawing inspiration from that. It was a pleasure and honor working with Josh and I would wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone and everyone.
