Introduction: My name is Kayla, and I am a former high school English teacher. I received my BA from Brown University, where I double majored in English Literature and Literary Arts, and my MFA from Columbia University where I majored in Creative Writing. I've taught English/Creative Writing at a boarding school in Tennessee, a Catholic school in Washington, DC, a transition high school in Manhattan, and as a volunteer at Columbia University. I also have experience in college counseling and admissions departments. I spent two summers working as a teaching assistant for Duke University's Talent Identification Program where I helped teach both writing and literature classes and held "College Question and Answer" sessions.
I love helping students of all ages achieve their academic goals.
