- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I like to see the job to give an honest quote . Some roofer will price it off of a square 10 feet by 10 feet) but that isn't always applicable because it could be more , or less . The fairest way is going up on the roof, taking pictures/videos and explaining to the customer what It is that he or she needs .

- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Do your research! Just because someone has a ladder and pick up truck does not make them a professional. I have seen "roofers" from all over who don't know what they are doing . Ask a lot question to the person you are hiring , you may be able to weed out some people just by a gut feeling . And make them take before and after pics so you know exactly where your money is going .
